Sixth Annual BMI International Conference comes to London

The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) will stage the sixth annual Business Management Institute (BMI) International Conference in London, October 16-21, 2008.
 
The CMAE, whose members are involved in the management of clubs including golf, sports, health & fitness, leisure, city and dining clubs, will host the event themed ‘Tradition, Innovation and Future Global Trends’ in the UK capital, showcasing many of London’s historic city clubs.
 
Tony Jacklin, Europe’s most successful Ryder Cup captain, will be the keynote speaker for the conference, giving delegates his thoughts on team leadership and motivation amid the splendid surroundings of the Royal Automobile Club.
 
Other prestigious venues for the week’s presentations include The Royal Air Force Club, The Lansdowne Club, The Berkshire Golf Club, The Caledonian Club and the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Wimbledon.
 
On the agenda will be a variety of educational presentations and discussions including Leadership in Business, Psychology and Dynamics of Teams, Marketing Practices, Media Relations, Business Continuity and security implications for VIP visitors.
 
The event is also designed to enable delegates to mix in a cosmopolitan setting and network with colleagues from around the world.
 
BMI International opens on Thursday, October 16, with a visit to the Houses of Parliament, were attendees will be treated to cocktails, hors d’oevuvres and a guided tour of the House of Lords and House of Commons.
 
The conference ends with a magnificent floating gala dinner – a stately catamaran-dining cruise along the River Thames at night, seeing all of London’s history and culture in a memorable dining experience.
