SipcamAdvan promotes marketing manager, hires Southeastern account manager

George Furrer to head specialty products marketing

George Furrer was promoted to National Marketing Manager for the new Specialty Products Business for SipcamAdvan.  Furrer will lead the marketing efforts for the Specialty Products Business Unit which includes turf and ornamental, nursery greenhouse, lawn care, pest control and consumer home & garden markets. As Sipcam Agro USA, Inc. and subsidiaries Advan  and Sostram Corporation continue to position for expansion, the creation of the Specialty Products Business Unit sharpens the focus on customer needs. 

George will continue to be based in the field and report to Andy Lee, President and c.e.o. 

“George has extensive experience in the turf & ornamental, lawn care and nursery green house markets.  His role will be to help set SipcamAdvan on the path to achieving our five year goal of becoming a $200 million company by improving our customer’s profitability.”

Asked about his new role, Furrer says, “I look forward to the challenge of building on the foundation we have at SipcamAdvan and working with a great team to reach our goal of becoming a more customer-focused organization.”  In the interim, George will continue to manage his sales territory in the upper northeast U.S.

Account manager hired

SipcamAdvan also announced the addition of Bob Braddock to the account management and sales team. Braddock replaces Randy Gilliam, who was recently promoted to sales manager.  Braddock will manage key account responsibilities for the Southeastern United Sates. 

Braddock comes to SipcamAdvan with more than 30 years of crop protection experience. 

“With his breadth of experience in the industry, Bob will be a key addition to the sales team as we build toward our vision to become a $200 million company in the next five years by improving our customers’ profitability,” says Randy Gilliam, sales manager for the agriculture business unit.

After 17 years with Monsanto as a sales rep and district manager, Braddock moved to Micro Flo Co. as business manager and later led the Micro Flo team as company lead in both sales and marketing functions during Micro Flo's ownership by BASF. Most recently, Braddock was national accounts manager and was a member of several leadership teams Arysta Life Science.
