The Board of Directors of agrochemical companies Sipcam Agro USA and Advan announced the appointment of Andy D. Lee as c.e.o. of Advan and Sipcam Agro USA. Lee has extensive experience within the agrochemical industry, having held senior leadership roles with BASF Corp. and other chemical companies in the United States and Europe.
Lee said, “I am delighted to be joining Sipcam and Advan. Growers and the channel need a reliable, trustworthy source of products and information to get the best out of every acre. Sipcam and Advan are uniquely positioned to meet these needs.”
Prior to his appointment as CEO of Sipcam and Advan, Lee was director of the U.S. Crop Protection Business for BASF Corp., Research Triangle Park, NC. Earlier in his career, Lee held positions in global marketing for BASF in Parsippany, N.J., and for American Home Products, N.J. Before his move to the U.S., Lee was based in Brussels with American Cyanamid where he served as technical director and then commercial director for Europe. He has also held a variety of technical and commercial positions with Cyanamid U.K. and Shell Nickerson Seed Company. Lee obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology from Hertfordshire University, U.K.

Lee’s appointment allows Affaba to return to his position as a Member of the Board of Sipcam Agro USA. Affaba was acting c.e.o. of the company. Tim Damico served as acting c.e.o. of Advan and will return to his position as c.o.o. of Advan.
