Pinehurst, N.C. – Golf management firm Signet Golf Associates has added The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation in Aiken, S.C., to its list of clientele.
The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation is a private club that features a layout from Nicklaus Design. It was named one of the top 10 best new private courses in America by Golf Digest in 2003.
“The quality of the golf course and playability of the golf course is superb,” says Peter Dejak, partner in Signet Golf Associates. “We’re pleased to be able to showcase the great work Nicklaus Design did at Woodside Plantation.”
The club, which is part of a master-planned community, also offers tennis, croquet, a heated swimming pool, fine dining and a piano bar. The community includes 30 acres of nature preserves, more than 100 acres of lakes and several walking and biking trails.
“What we like about the facility is that it’s an exclusive club and we have the opportunity to focus on members and customer service,” Dejak says. “It gives us the chance to do a lot of special things for the membership – the little extras you can’t do at a typical public course.”
Signet hired Ross Desmond, a veteran club professional who’s been with Signet for several years, as general manager.
“Ross has always been focused on the membership and taking care of the individual,” Dejak says. “That’s his forte, so we’ve got him in a place where he can do what he’s best at.”
