Signature Golf names superintendent at Rose Hill Golf Club

Ed Sealy was appointed to the post at the course in Surfside Beach, S.C.

Skip Blythe announced on behalf of Signature Golf Group and Rose Hill Country Club the appointment of Edward J. Sealy, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., as Golf Course Superintendent at the Rose Hill Country Club effective March 1. Edward will be responsible for returning the course to playability as well as course conditioning when the course is re-opened.

“We are excited that Ed has decided to join our team at Rose Hill. Ed has the knowledge, the experience, and most importantly the passion to create a great golf experience at Rose Hill”, stated Skip Blythe.

As a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the  Carolina’s Golf Course Superintendents Association Ed brings nearly 30 years of golf course management experience to Rose Hill including positions as superintendent at Mahoning Valley Country Club in Lehighton, Pa. and Jeffersonville Golf Club in Norristown, Pa. Most recently, he has worked for Signature Golf Group at Island Green Country Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. Having attended the Pennsylvania State University, where he majored in Agronomy, as well as having attended numerous conferences and seminars, Ed is well versed in golf course construction, maintenance, improvement and the processes that provide conditions golfers enjoy.
 
Edward and his wife, Janet Lindsay (a Canadian transplant and South Carolina Realtor), enjoy boating, golf, fishing and the beach and are looking forward to the opportunity of moving to the Bluffton area and joining 2 of their four children who are already residents.
