Representatives from Signature Golf Group USA, Inc. of Surfside Beach, S.C., is pleased to announce that Diamond Back Golf Club is changing its name to Woodland Valley Country Club as of Sept. 1.
Opened for play in 1999 as Diamond Back Golf Club, this Russell Breeden design course has been a classic favorite of visitors and locals alike for the past eight years. As Woodland Valley Country Club, the golf course will enter a new phase offering full service memberships to the surrounding Woodland Valley residents in addition to continued resort play.
"Although we are entering a new era for the course, we will continue to offer this outstanding golf venue to outside play," said Steve Taylor. "The creation of Woodland Valley has made this beautiful setting a great place to live and play in the future."
The developers of Woodland Valley, Carolina Investment Company LLC, will be making significant improvements to the course, including the installation of new golf cart crossings, enlarging and adding lakes and renovations to the clubhouse. The course will change all the signage, scorecards, yardage books, advertising and merchandise to a new Woodland Valley logo. A new Web site, woodlandvalleycc.com, is currently in the developmental stages.
Signature Golf Group will continue to manage Woodland Valley Country Club for its owners and investors.
