Sign the National Golf Day petition

In conjunction with National Golf Day on May 13, The PGA of America is sponsoring an online petition to get signatures showing politicians that golf has postively influenced many lives.

In conjunction with National Golf Day on May 13, when the leaders of 10 golf industry associations will visit Capitol Hill to educate Congress, the media and other leaders on the economic, environmental and human impacts of golf, the PGA of America is sponsoring a petition.

The goal of the petition is to get 1,000 people's signatures, showing politicians that golf has positively influenced many people's lives.

According to PGA.com, National Golf Day's talking points will include:

• The golf industry is responsible for 2 million jobs in the U.S. and generates $61 billion in wage income annually.

• The golf industry raises approximately $3.5 billion annually for charitable causes each year.

• The nearly 16,000 of U.S. golf facilities provide communities with valuable green space. The widespread benefits of golf course landscapes are delivered with the minimal use of water, with golf courses accounting for only one-half of one percent of U.S. annual water consumption.
