Shark’s Tooth Golf Clubhouse to be built

Lake Powell, Fla. - Wild Heron, a 734-acre residential community located along the shores of Lake Powell, will break ground on the Shark’s Tooth Golf Clubhouse in early October. The Shark’s Tooth Golf Clubhouse will be influenced by the Coastal Craftsman architectural style.

“Traditionally, construction of a world-class golf facility does not commence until 250 golf memberships have been secured,” said Vaughan Blaxter, president of Hillman Properties. “However, since interest in Shark’s Tooth Golf Club has been tremendous, with the membership pace exceeding expectations, we have decided to begin construction far ahead of our original schedule.”

The 15,500-square-foot clubhouse will accommodate casual lunches, fine dining and social events in the grand dining room. Various features include separate lounges, grilles, and locker areas for men and women. A golf shop also will be included, and premier golf instruction will be available.

At the heart of Wild Heron is the Greg Norman-designed Shark’s Tooth Golf Course, now celebrating its second anniversary. The course enjoys national acclaim as the recipient of numerous awards, including the distinguished classification of Silver Signature Sanctuary by Audubon International
