SePRO Corporation's Legacy Turf Growth Regulator received federal registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use on both cool- and warm-season golf course turfgrasses. Legacy reduces stem elongation and leaf blade length resulting in a more compact and dense growth habit that reduces grass clippings, mowing frequency and improves turf quality and health.
Legacy integrates SePRO patented synergy technology and is the only turf growth regulator that combines dual sites of action and plant uptake. Independent and University researchers have confirmed that in addition to the normal PGR benefits turf managers expect, the synergy found in Legacy results in enhanced turf color, density and quality, less initial bronzing, longer length of PGR activity, reduced turf rebound effect and the discouragement of the encroachment of Poa annua.
“Legacy is the result of many years of research focusing on the synergy derived from combining Type IIA and Type IIB turf growth regulators," said Roger Storey, vice president of turf & ornamental business. “Feedback provided by the golf course superintendent community helped guide our research and development resulting in Legacy, which we feel it is the next generation of turf growth regulation."
Legacy is the newest growth regulator to be developed and commercialized by SePRO. Other SePRO plant growth regulators include Cutless 50W Turf Growth Regulator, Cutless Granular Landscape Growth Regulator, Profile Tree Growth Regulator, A-Rest Plant Growth Regulator, Topflor Ornamental Plant Growth Regulator and SpinOut Root Growth Regulator.
