Hubbard, Ore. – Tee-2-Green is pleased to announce that both of their new varieties, Penneagle II and PennLinks II, have recently been accepted into the seed certifications program, allowing them to be sold with a blue tag identifying the accreditation.
“We are very pleased with this news,” says Bill Rose, president, Tee-2-Green. “Both Penneagle II and PennLinks II will have higher certification standards than the blue tag requires, as do all of our current bentgrass varieties.”
The state of Oregon’s official seed certification agency uses the blue tag to tell purchasers that the seed so identified is officially certified bentgrass seed. The blue tag certification ensures seed purity and varietal integrity and guarantees that the cultivar listed on the label is the same cultivar inside the container.
