Field Day 25, hosted by Scotts Turf-Seed and Scotts Landmark Seed, will be held in Rolesville, N.C., on June 14. As with prior Field Days, the event will highlight new and exciting varieties out of the Pure Seed Testing program.
“This year, we’re focusing on varieties bred for certain attributes,” said Wayne Horman, marketing director for Scotts Turf-Seed. “Our icon program highlights these trait-specific varieties, making it easy for turf managers to quickly find solutions for their turf issues.”
The Scotts Turf-Seed icon program includes varieties bred for Brown Patch resistance, Gray Leaf Spot resistance, heat tolerance, salt tolerance, shade tolerance and wear tolerance.
Specific plots at Field Day 25 will be devoted to each of the following varieties, including Silver Dollar, Gray Star, Tar Heel II, Endeavor, Pure Gold, Solar Green, Sea Spray seashore paspalum and more.
In addition, Dr. Mike Richardson, professor in the department of horticulture at the University of Arkansas, will be a featured guest speaker on the topic of dormant seeding bermudagrass.
