Sakai America is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Mansell as Technical Marketing Manager. In this newly created position, Mansell will be responsible for bringing the highly technical aspects of the innovative Sakai products to the dealer team and end users.

"Sakai has now positioned the company to move forward with numerous technical advances like ExactCompact, CCV (Sakai's entry into the world of intelligent compaction), high speed asphalt compaction and the furtherance of vibration of rubber tires," says Dave Brown, Sakai's vice president - sales & marketing. "Todd's experience in the field will enable us to better communicate our technical expertise to our markets while at the same time, bring critical information back from the field."
Brown is referring to Mansell's fifteen plus years of experience in the area of construction materials engineering. Much of this experience is in HMA mix design, plant production, placement and construction of asphalt pavements. Prior to joining Sakai, Mansell was employed by Graniterock of Watsonville, CA as a Paving Quality Engineer where he focused on training, crew management and quality control.
Before Graniterock, he was a staff engineer with Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton and Wyatt of Little Rock, AR. Here, he was involved in geotechnical fieldwork and pavement and foundation design. Prior work included many years of asphalt related construction services.
Mansell has a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay in Canada and an MBA from Santa Clara University in California. He holds many memberships in civil engineering and asphalt paving associations.
Sakai manufactures and markets a wide range of soil and asphalt compaction equipment at their facility in Adairsville, Ga.
