Bernhard and Company announced the appointment of Rod Mortimer as technical sales manager – northern North America.
Mortimer joins the Bernhard and Company North America team alongside Daryl Nagy and Emily Casey, further strengthening the company’s support network for customers across the region.
With 25 years’ experience in the turf industry, Mortimer brings extensive hands-on expertise and a deep understanding of the demands placed on modern turf operations. He spent the first 20 years of his career as an equipment manager, before moving into a superintendent role over the past five years. Notably, Mortimer dedicated 20 of those 25 years to one club, building long-term insight into the importance of consistency, reliability and performance in turf maintenance.
In his new role, Mortimer will work closely with customers to provide technical guidance, product support, and expertise across Bernhard and Company’s market-leading grinding solutions, helping turf professionals achieve exceptional results with maximum efficiency.
“Rod’s experience across both equipment management and superintendent leadership gives him a rare perspective on what turf teams need day-to-day,” managing director Steven Nixon said. “His technical knowledge, combined with his passion for the industry, makes him an excellent addition to the Bernhard and Company family.”
“I’ve spent most of my career in the turf industry, and I’m excited to bring that experience into a role where I can support others in achieving the highest standards,” Mortimer added. “Bernhard and Company has a strong reputation for innovation and performance, and I’m looking forward to working with customers across Northern North America.”
