Reid is a native of Charlotte and enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Central Piedmont Community College. He joined the staff at Rocky River in mid November after working as kitchen supervisor at Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Charlotte. Reid also has experience working for two of his family’s former restaurant ventures in Charlotte: The Cupboard restaurant and Billy Reid’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill.

“For me to be a head chef and launch my career, this is a great spot,” he says. “I’m really looking forward to putting new items on the menu and broadening our banquet menu. I would like this to be a lunch spot, not just a place for golfers to get a sandwich at the turn.”

“Scott has been around the food service industry his whole life and we certainly feel confident he will do a good job for us,” says general manager Floyd Gragg.

Rocky River Golf Club, located a half mile from Lowe’s Motor Speedway, is owned by the City of Concord and managed by Signet Golf Associates of Pinehurst.
