Club focuses on health, well-being of guests, employees among admidst a series of enhancements.

Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort in Cumberland, Md., announced the entire facility will become smoke-free as of Feb. 1.
 
Rocky Gap is making this health-conscience move amidst a series of enhancements. Going smoke-free not only creates a more eco-friendly environment, but it also shields guests and employees from the harmful effects of second-hand smoke.
 
"We're proud to make this proactive move to a smoke-free resort, tying in nicely with our Garden Spa and myriad outdoor amenities - all of which promote health and happiness," says general manager Steele Edwards. "The well-being and overall satisfaction of our guests is foremost in this action and we feel the health benefits will be far-reaching."
 
In addition to making the move to smoke-free, Rocky Gap has enhanced its Garden Spa, upgraded each guest suite with new bedding and pillow-top mattresses, upgraded the exercise room, and initiated extensive agronomic improvements to the championship golf course.
 
Along with golf and spa facilities, Rocky Gap offers a wide variety of outdoor activities including everything from fishing, kayaking and sporting clays to tennis, swimming and hiking through miles of marked mountain trails.
