The Rhode Island Golf Course Superintendents Association awarded $15,000 in scholarships for 2006 to the following students.

Also, a new scholarship has been started in memory of Ryan Reynolds. The first recipient of the Ryan Reynolds Legacy Scholarship was awarded to
Stephen T. Ohlson, a student at the University of Rhode Island
The C. Richard Skogley Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Randy Pistacchio, a student at the University of Rhode Island.
Each year the RIGCSA hosts a golf tournament in which all proceeds go into providing scholarships to deserving students and funding research at the University of Rhode Island. This year they will host their 24th Annual Scholarship and Research Tournament at Agawam Hunt in Rumford, RI.
