RedMax/Komatsu Zenoah America, Inc. hosted Red Tech 8, its eighth annual service school. Service managers from 18 United States and Canadian distributors gathered in Tucson, Ariz., for hands-on training.
The school was highlighted by a tour of the Wabrow factory in Nogales, Mexico. Services managers also reviewed carburetor theory and troubleshooting procedures, received product update information and were introduced to new products.
At the annual awards banquet, RedMax recognized two distributors as Service Distributors of the Year and one individual as Service Manager of the Year. Power Equipment Distributors of Richmond, Mich., was cited for “outstanding dealer support” and Cook’s Power Equipment Distributing of Ocoee, Fla., was recognized for “outstanding dealer support” during four hurricanes.
The Service Manager of the Year for 2004 was awarded to Ken Coker of B&B Distributing Co., Hattiesburg, Miss.
“Ken has consistantly demonstrated outstanding technical support for RedMax dealers in his area,” RedMax service manager Skip Augustson says. “He and his company go beyond the norm with service to their dealers.”
