Mark Donohue is Rain Bird’s new regional manager for the company’s Southeast Asia market. In his new role, Donohue will manage the development of the company’s Southeast Asia sales organization and will be tasked with growing Rain Bird’s golf, landscape and agriculture businesses in all Southeast Asian territories excluding Japan and Korea.
Donohue joined Rain Bird as a regional manager for Canada in 2016. Over the past five years, he built a high-performing landscape sales team, and expanded and improved the company’s distribution network. He received an achievement award for long-term growth orientation from the company last year.
“During Mark’s time with Rain Bird, he’s exhibited exemplary leadership and management skills,” said Brett Hart, Rain Bird’s international business manager for Africa, India and Southeast Asia. “His work in his native Canada has been excellent, and his experience and knowledge make him an ideal fit for his new role in Southeast Asia.”
Before joining Rain Bird, Donohue spent five years as the national sales manager for ITW Construction Products, Canada in Markham, Ontario. He received his professional certification from the University of Innovative Distribution at Purdue University in 2015. He also graduated with a degree in political science and Canadian-American relations from Brock University in St. Catherines, Ontario. He will relocate with his family from Ontarion to Singapore when travel restrictions allow.
