Rain Bird Services Corp. announced its 2006-2007 irrigation training schedule for Rain Bird Academy, which provides golf irrigation professionals with expert instruction on the latest golf irrigation products, newest installation methods and cutting edge business skills professionals need to succeed.
Rain Bird's golf training, held in 18 cities, is available to irrigation providers in the United States and Canada and is designed to help golf course irrigation professionals create savings and conserve water through improved irrigation practices.

Those who would benefit from this training include golf course superintendents, irrigation contractors, system designers, distributors, technicians and golf course architects. Golf Course Superintendent Association of America (GCSAA) Education Points are awarded for all golf training classes offered. Training classes are broken out depending on participants' experience and include three main sections:
Golf Irrigation Training - From electrical and hydraulic fundamentals to controller troubleshooting, participants will gain an in-depth education in installing irrigation products and technologies onto their golf courses.
Business Skills Training - Available only at Rain Bird's Regional and Professional Irrigation Training Camps, Rain Bird provides informative, insightful information for those golf irrigation professionals and superintendents wanting to learn more about financial management, profitable job estimating and customer selling skills.
Central Control Training - Participants can learn more about the operation, technology, hardware and benefits that comprise today's central controller systems. Participants can also learn about central control maintenance and troubleshooting. Training specific to Central Controller installation and operation is also available this year. Courses take place at Rain Bird's manufacturing facility in Tucson, Ariz., on the following dates:
