Tempe, Ariz. – ProLink Solutions, a provider of Global Positioning Satellite Management Systems for golf courses, has partnered with Elumina Iberica SA to install the ProLink GPS system at select, high-end courses throughout Europe and parts of the Middle East.
Elumina will build the ProLink brand in a footprint this year consisting of more than 35 courses. Courses ordering installations of the ProLink GPS system via Elumina include Valderrama, Alicante, La Moraleja and LaSalba golf clubs in Spain, and Brocket Hall, Kilworth Springs and Manor of Groves in England. Additional courses in these and other countries are being scheduled for installations in the third quarter of 2005.
With its in-house engineering, mapping and technical services, Elumina is positioned to exponentially grow installations of ProLink GPS systems at public, private and resort courses in a wide variety of countries and economic environments. The company’s leasing arm – Elumina Finanzia – provides courses with a flexible, accessible financing mechanism for purchasing golf cart fleets custom equipped with ProLink GPS systems.
Further increasing the accessibility of ProLink to all courses in its target markets, Elumina is pioneering a multi-national brand-advertising program that enables courses to offset the cost of, and even profit from, the installation of the ProLink GPS system. The revenue-generating system is fully administered by Elumina and its advertising partners, and courses are reimbursed monthly based on total rounds played and average price-per-round. The financing and advertising programs – in concert with ProLink’s multi-layered GPS system – provide a complete, turnkey marketing solution capable of funding capital projects, equipment purchases and other on and off-course enhancements.
ProLink’s GPS system has a high-resolution, color display unit affixed to each golf cart. The screen displays pinpoint-accurate distances to the hole, as well as vibrant graphics of fairways, greens, hazards and other on-course geographical features. Better navigating the course and taking guesswork out of the game aids golfers’ shot selections and, in turn, speeds pace of play. Other features include ordering food and beverage at the touch of a button on the ninth and 18th tees, as well as personal scoring and tournament leaderboards.
“We are excited to team with Elumina and to add this dynamic company to our growing list of trusted partners and distributors,” says Lawrence Bain, president and c.e.o. of ProLink Solutions. “Courses that rapidly adopt ProLink GPS systems enrich their customer experience and customer service in addition to substantially increasing sales through our tried and true value propositions. We look forward to working with the Elumina team to enhance the experience in their international portfolio.”
“The combination of ProLink’s industry-leading brand and Elumina’s financing, marketing and advertising solutions provides a strong foundation for growing the use of ProLink systems at courses throughout the Europe and parts of the Middle East,” says Mark Smart, Managing Director of Elumina Iberica SA.
With ProLink GPS systems, courses in Elumina’s portfolio will streamline operations by optimizing tee-sheet yield and enhancing golf cart wear-and-tear monitoring. Courses will also be better equipped to manage large tournaments and corporate outings, thus attracting additional events and incremental profits.
