Plymouth, Mass. – Proderma launched its third annual ForeWard educational campaign to reduce the incidence of skin cancer and disease among golfers during fall and winter.
The ForeWard program was initiated two years ago after a Proderma-sponsored survey revealed golfers overwhelmingly disregard sun’s damaging effects on their skin when the temperature drops. The educational campaign has focused on golf-rich regions in America’s Sun Belt, where ultraviolet levels pose a year round threat for unprotected golfers.
“During the first two programs, golfers from Florida to Southern California were made aware they are vulnerable to skin cancer and disease in all types of weather, particularly during fall and winter when they think they are out of harm’s way,” says Mike Argyelan, c.e.o. of Proderma Products. “We hope to use our established platform to save lives by fore-warding educational information about prolonged exposure to the sun.”
This season’s program is buoyed by the recent release of Proderma’s enhanced Prism Sunscreen and its SPF 15 and 45 formulas. Enhanced Prism dries in less than 10 seconds, is odorless, residue-free and lasts up to eight hours at an SPF of 50.
