West Chester, Pa. – August 3, 2005 –Venture Insurance Programs, a national program administrator in the design and underwriting of select industry-focused insurance packages, has expanded the Preferred Club Program through an exclusive program alliance with The Hanover Insurance Company.
The Preferred Club Program is an insurance provider to the golf and country club industry, insuring more than 1,000 private, semi-private and upscale daily-fee clubs with custom club package and workers’ compensation products.
Effective immediately, The Hanover Insurance Company will provide a new market for the program, with additional coverage for public daily-fee courses, as well as semi-private courses, private courses and country clubs. Under the exclusive arrangement, Hanover Insurance will use the Preferred Club Program’s proprietary form.
“Hanover provides us with a complementary market to our current package offerings, so we can offer our industry leading program to golf courses and clubs that may not have qualified previously,” says Philip J. Harvey, president and managing director of Venture Insurance Programs. “We expect to strengthen our leadership position in the golf and club industry in the years ahead.”
“We’re very pleased to partner with Venture Insurance Programs in its efforts to expand the range of its program offerings,” says Marita Zuraitis, president of the Citizens and Hanover property and casualty companies. “Not only will this new program enable agents to expand the scope of their sales, but it will make this premiere program available to many more customers.”
The Preferred Club Program will continue to offer its existing club package through the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. The Preferred Club Program offers workers’ compensation, property, general liability, property of members, herbicide and pesticide coverage with full pollution options, tee-to-green coverage of all playing surfaces, liquor liability, excess and umbrella liability, and cart fleet and errant ball coverage. Options include business interruption coverage with an unlimited extended period of indemnity.
