Precision Laboratories names district sales manager

Dan McCoy is a former superintendent and fertilizer representative.

Precision Laboratories added Dan McCoy to its turf and ornamental sales team. McCoy will assume the role of district manager for the states of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, San Juan and Puerto Rico.

“Dan brings a solid turf background to Precision Laboratories,” said Don Spier, vice president of the turf and ornamental business unit for Precision Laboratories. “His previous positions as a golf course superintendent and also in fertilizer sales will be an asset to Precision. We’re confident that Dan’s experience in fertility, pesticide, irrigation and cultural practices will bring value to our customers and help them get more with less.”

McCoy was formerly a golf course superintendent at Woodfield Country Club and Ballenisles Country Club in Palm Beach County, Fla. Dan has more than 15 years of experience in the golf industry and also has over 10 years of experience in sales. Previous sales included positions at Scotts, where he developed fertilizer and pesticide programs and Lesco, where he was responsible for professional turfgrass products. McCoy is also a former member of the GCSAA class A division.
