Pocono Mountains, Pa. – The Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau says more than 35 resort and golf properties – in the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania – have banded together to offer visitors access, quality and a diverse collection of courses, accommodations and other amenities.

The destination, with new theme “Pocono Mountains: Discover Golf’s Great Destination Secret” is committed to growing golf’s presence under the lead of the Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau.

Many golfers are already aware that the Pocono Mountains are home to golf courses designed by architects such as Donald Ross, Jack Nicklaus and A.W. Tillinghast. What people are increasingly discovering, however, is the proximity of the Pocono Mountains golf properties and value-laden golf packages available there via its Web site (www.poconosgolf.com). This allows players to obtain desired tee times and enjoy majestic mountain-view scenery, the area’s natural splendor, year-round amenities and unequaled value and variety.
“Pocono Mountains resorts and golf courses offer tremendous rates and experiences when considering the quantity, quality and diversity of options,” says Robert Uguccioni, executive director of the PMVB. “Many Pocono Mountains courses are so close together that golfers can experience more than one in a day and still have time for family and other attractions. Plus, we have luxury spas and romantic getaways, family camps and children’s activities, something for everyone.”
