Moghu Research Center and Moghu USA (“Moghu”) announced that PoaCure has been granted registration in Chile and New Zealand for use as a herbicide on recreational turf. As of Oct. 20, 2025, PoaCure is available in six countries across four continents: South Korea, Japan, the United States, Australia, Chile and New Zealand.
Moghu has expanded its partnership with Colin Campbell Chemicals to make PoaCure available in New Zealand, serving turf professionals across Oceania. PoaCure will be available through PGG Wrightson Turf in New Zealand.
In Chile, Moghu has partnered with ATurf — marking the first registration for PoaCure in South America. ATurf is founded by Dr. Alejandra Acuña, who specializes in providing solutions to turf professionals in Chile. Acuña earned her Ph.D. in Agronomy and Crop Science from The Ohio State University in 2010 and brings extensive experience in the turfgrass industry, having held various academic positions and served as a private consultant.
“Moghu Research Center has worked with trusted partners around the world to deliver new chemistry against one of turf’s most challenging weeds,” said Suk-Jin Koo, CEO of Moghu Research Center and Moghu USA. “We believe the unique mode of action of methiozolin will help turf professionals address Poa annua and other problematic weeds. Moghu Research Center and Moghu USA will continue pursuing new solutions for additional regions and use sites.”
