Players Turf International, L.L.C. will be providing 100 percent of the synthetic turf for a 25,000 square foot indoor practice area at the upcoming 2005 Golf Industry Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Feb. 10 through 12.
The practice area will feature several areas designed for improving a player’s short game, including a practice putting green, an elevated chipping green and a driving range with a target green.
Players Turf was selected because of the capability of its synthetic turf system to provide realistic feedback similar to actual golf course conditions.
The Golf Industry Show is a combined show for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the National Golf Course Owners Association. More than 20,000 golf industry professionals are expected to attend the inaugural show, which will feature approximately 800 exhibitors over more than 250,000 square feet of exhibit space. Showcased on the floor will be seven “solution centers” focused on a particular area of golf facility management, each offering interactive demonstrations, presentations and case studies by industry experts, and informative displays.
“We are looking forward to the 2005 Golf Industry Show and demonstrating some of the latest advancements in synthetic turf to the golf course owners and superintendents,” said Players Turf Owner and Founder Ray Sever. “We are pleased to partner with the Golf Industry Show and are confident we can deliver a premier synthetic turf installation that will provide a realistic golf practice experience for those attending the show.”
