Conover Tuttle Pace will help the golf course promote its centennial.

Pinehurst Resort selected Conover Tuttle Pace, one of the fastest growing advertising and public relations agencies in Boston, to develop and implement a public relations program with an emphasis on promoting the Centennial of its famed No. 2 course.

"We're thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Pinehurst, one of the leading golf destinations in the world," c.e.o. Chip Tuttle said. "The No. 2 course holds a special place in the history of the golf in the U.S."

Nestled in the North Carolina Sandhills, Pinehurst Resort is referred to as the Home of Golf in the United States. Pinehurst No. 2, which opened in 1907, remains the nation's most accessible championship golf course. It has served as the site for numerous high-profile events, including U.S. Opens, Ryder Cup Matches, the PGA Championship and the U.S. Senior Open. In 2008, Pinehurst Resort will be the site of the U.S. Amateur for the second time.

Conover Tuttle Pace is a fully integrated marketing and communications agency with a dedicated golf division. Some of its golf clients have included the Ryder Cup Matches, PGA Merchandise Show, Red Bull, Callaway Golf Pre-Owned and a number of New England's top private clubs.

Conover Tuttle Pace's various initiatives will focus on the events and activities surrounding this year's 100th anniversary of Pinehurst No. 2, future golf events and the introduction of new Pinehurst programs, including the Golf Sabbatical.
