Phoenix introduces new packaging

Phoenix Environmental Care introduces environmentally friendly BATPak packaging concept.

Valdosta, Ga. – Phoenix Environmental Care is introducing a new 7.5-gallon packaging concept called BATPak (Buy, Apply, Turn in). The new delivery system is designed to address container handling and disposal issues faced by today’s golf course superintendents.

The BATPak is designed to address container handling and disposal issues.

“The bottom line is that this new packaging is good for the environment,” says Owen Towne, president of Phoenix Environmental Care. “The BATPak can be triple rinsed and returned directly to Phoenix Environmental Care. In fact, the BATPak even comes with a self-addressed box and pre-paid shipping. Of course the container may also be properly disposed of locally, but superintendents have the option of simply returning the container once the product is used.”

In addition to being environmentally friendly, Towne says the BATPak has other benefits.

“First of all, customers will have the advantage of a larger container which offers more flexibility,” he says. “The container has a tapered mouth that allows complete drainage and a special “no glug” valve comes with the BATPak to minimize spills or splashing.”

Towne says the container is translucent so the content level can be easily viewed. For easier storage, the containers have interlocking grooves allowing them to be stacked up to four high.

The new system will initially be available for Kestrel fungicide and Vital fungicide. With 7.5 gallons of product, the Kestrel BATPak treats from 11 to 44 acres and the Vital BATPak from 3.7 to 5.5 acres.
