Valdosta, Ga. – Phoenix Environmental Care LLC retained the services of Nichols Turf Services, headed by Randy Nichols. Nichols Turf Services will be involved in product development and evaluation for Phoenix Environmental Care LLC.
“Randy’s understanding of the turf industry, his combination of hands-on experience, service to superintendent’s associations and passion for turfgrass management are unique to this industry," says Owen Towne, president of Phoenix Environmental Care. "His 30-plus years of turfgrass experience will give us direction and focus as we continue to introduce products over the next several years.”
Nichols says he looks forward to helping Phoenix Environmental develop and expand their product line.
“I’ve known and worked with Owen Towne and his team in the past,” Nichols says. “They have a solid base of talent and experience to build on. I look forward to doing both practical research, and coordinating the university research that will help them continue to grow.”
Towne says it was Nichols’ leadership, vision and service that helped the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America experience a period of unprecedented growth in the early 1990s.
“That same dedication to turfgrass research will ensure that our product line, formulations and services continue to provide innovative solutions that help superintendents meet their evolving needs,” Towne says.
