Valdosta, Ga. – Phoenix Environmental Care LLC added Current aquatic herbicide to its line of products.
“Current is a copper-based herbicide that can be used just about anywhere aquatic weeds are a problem,” says Craig Smith, aquatic business manager for Phoenix Environmental Care. “Current is effective on pests like Hydrilla, Egeria and Southern Naiad, which can make ponds - especially those on golf courses, parks and private property - unattractive. This product provides reliable control of these weed pests, plus many others.”
Current has no application restrictions or limits on how soon water may be used after treatment. In fact, water may be used for watering livestock, fishing, and swimming immediately after treatment with Current, Smith says.
Smith says Current offers fast uptake and is effective even in hard water.
“Treated weeds will sink below the surface within one week,” he says. “In addition, Current can be applied in a variety of ways. Application can be made from a boat, by an aircraft or even as a subsurface spray, whichever is most convenient.”
