Valdosta, Ga. – Knighthawk 65 WDG (water dispersible granule) herbicide is the newest addition to the Phoenix Environmental Care LLC product line.
“I believe golf course superintendents are going to appreciate Knighthawk because of the product’s low-rate, season-long control,” says Owen Towne, president of Phoenix Environmental Care. “With the non-staining active ingredient prodiamine, this product offers outstanding application flexibility, has low solubility and volatility, and provides season-long control of crabgrass, goosegrass, foxtail and Poa annua.”
Towne says when Knighthawk becomes available during the first quarter of 2006, the lowest use-rate will give up to three months crabgrass control while the highest rate can extend control as long as eight months.
“The length of crabgrass control with this product is very impressive,” says Towne. “Plus, Knighthawk is effective on other grassy and broadleaf weeds such as annual bluegrass, henbit, knotweed, spurge and chickweed.”
Knighthawk is one of several new products that Phoenix Environmental Care LLC plans to introduce over the next few months.
“This is an exciting time for our company as we enter our second year of operation,” says Towne who recommends superintendents contact local Phoenix Distributors for more information about the availability of Knighthawk.
