The Propane Education & Research Council invites superintendents, equipment technicians, club owners, and course managers attending GIS to learn about the Council’s Golf Demo Program, which helped eight golf courses reduce fuel costs and lower emissions by operating propane maintenance equipment. PERC will be in booth #1714.
“Initial feedback from the superintendents involved in the Golf Demo Program has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to sharing some of those details with GIS attendees interested in discussing how propane equipment can benefit their own courses’ operations,” said Jeremy Wishart, deputy director of business development for PERC.
A detailed report releasing the full results of the equipment used at each of the eight sites involved with the Golf Demo Program is expected later this year.
Additionally, Tucker Perkins, PERC’s chief business development officer, will speak during the show’s “Answers on the Hour” program at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10 in booth #1119. Perkins will discuss how propane equipment can cut fairways, emissions, noise and costs.
“Propane is proven to offer the lowest total cost of ownership of any fuel, so it’s a perfect solution for superintendents, who are constantly tasked with providing unrivaled course conditions with smaller and smaller budgets,” Perkins said.
Visitors to the PERC booth will also have a chance to win a propane patio heater donated by Ferrellgas. A winner will be randomly drawn from the prize box located in the booth collecting business cards during the show.
