Overland Park, Kan. – LPGA Tour players Moira Dunn, Mikaela Parmlid and Heather Bowie have joined PGA Tour players Billy Andrade and Scott McCarron, Champions Tour player Bruce Fleisher and CBS golf commentator David Feherty in endorsing PeakVision Sports’ Dual-Zone technology, 100-percent distortion-free eyewear designed specifically for golfers.
Dunn, Parmlid and Bowie will wear PeakVision sunglasses exclusively during all on-course activities, and will lend their names and likeness to selected off-course promotional programs. The players also will promote PeakVision sunglasses at www.peakvisionsports.com and in other marketing initiatives and collateral materials.
“The LPGA’s star has never burned brighter, and we are excited to welcome Moira, Mikaela and Heather into the PeakVision Sports endorsement family,” says Paul Moore, chief executive officer of PeakVision Sports. “PeakVision Sports sunglasses have been rapidly adopted and embraced by the professional golf ranks and by everyday golfers who realize the game improvement that goes with enhanced on-course vision.”
Dunn has finished in the top 75 on the LPGA Tour money list each of the past eight seasons and boasts career earnings of $1.8 million. A native of Utica, N.Y., she became a “Rolex First Time Winner” at the Giant Eagle Classic in 2004. In 2005, Dunn finished in the top 10 four times, and posted 10 top 20 finishes en route to more than $290,000 in winnings. One of the longer drivers on the LPGA Tour, Dunn finished seventh at the 1994 Women’s U.S. Open.
“With PeakVision, I don’t have to relegate my sunglasses to my hat or visor during shots,” Dunn says. “With Peaks’ 100-percent distortion-free lenses, I don’t have to worry about distracting distortions or inaccurate representations of course elements. The Dual-Zone technology enables me to see breaks in greens I wasn’t able to discern, before.”
A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, Parmlid joined the LPGA Tour in 2004 and capped her first season by making 11 of 18 cuts and finishing in the top 50 in six events. In 2005, she finished in the top 10 at the Takefuji Classic in Las Vegas, qualifying for the remainder of the season’s tournaments. Parmlid is fully exempt for 2006.
“PeakVision eyewear has improved my ability to read greens and to determine distances to course features and hazards,” says Parmlid. “The sunglasses are stylish and they also protect my eyes from the sun’s harmful rays.”
Bowie joined the LPGA Tour in 2000 following three years on the Futures Tour and a stellar collegiate career at Arizona State University. The Washington D.C. native notched her first Tour win last season at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic. Bowie also carded nine top 10s in 2005 and $677,425 in earnings.
“I look forward to the enhanced performance PeakVision eyewear provides from the tees through the greens,” says Bowie. “Peaks bring out breaks and contours in putting surfaces that aren’t evident to the naked eye, and when you get to this level, putting is everything.”
