Tee-2-Green has introduced the new PC2.0 bentgrass variety. PC2.0 honors the history of the “Penn bents”— most notably the famous Penncross — while harnessing innovative agronomic technology.
The new variety exhibits a distinct medium green color and a fine leaf texture. Golf course superintendents can use PC2.0 throughout their properties, including on greens, tees and fairways, and for divot repair.
PC2.0 features the ability to compete against Poa annua, displaying a dense, upright and aggressive growth habit.
“At Tee-2-Green, we live at the intersection of our past legacy and our desire to continually innovate. PC2.0 captures both of those realities, and we’re very proud to announce it,” said Lew Sharp, agronomist and golf course consultant for Tee-2-Green. “Superintendents are going to get a strong, versatile product that makes their stressful jobs a little easier.”
Additional benefits of PC2.0 include good disease resistance, attractive winter color, spring green-up, and strong tolerance to heat, cold and wear.
Golf Industry Show attendees can learn more about PC2.0 at Tee-2-Green booth #2031.
