The EPA approved PBI/Gordon's new T-Zone broadleaf herbicide for tough weeds. T-Zone contains triclopyr, sulfentrazone and phenoxies for control of tough broadleaf weeds in cool-season turfgrasses.
T-Zone will be marketed under PBI/Gordon's ProForm brand.
“Triclopyr gives T-Zone an extra kick for controlling problem weeds like wild violets,” says Doug Obermann, product manager for Gordon’s Professional products. “The “T” is triclopyr and the “Zone” is the sulfentrazone which provides enhanced speed as well as yellow nutsedge suppression.”
Other weeds including ground ivy, oxalis and black medic are also among the tough turf weeds controlled by T-Zone.
T-Zone, like all the ProForm products, was developed to provide the professional turf manager with a precision performance tool to eliminate tough turf weeds – fast.
Limited T-Zone trial samples will be available through distributors this summer. The product is expected to be available for fall tough weed application.
