PBI-Gordon promotes Doug Obermann

Longtime employee becomes vice president of professional and agricultural sales.

PBI-Gordon has promoted Doug Obermann to vice president of professional and agricultural sales.

Obermann began his career at PBI-Gordon in February 1988, after finishing his masters in agronomy from Iowa State University. He has since served in a wide variety of roles, ranging from customer service to national product manager to helping develop, name and launch many of the most successful PBI-Gordon products. His most recent position was as director of sales for the PBI-Gordon Professional and Agricultural product group.

“Doug has dedicated his career to PBI-Gordon with 28 years of service, success, and consistent results,” says Tom Hoffman, PBI-Gordon senior vice president and general manager. “As a business leader, he is an integral part of the continued success of PBI-Gordon.”

In his new role as vice president, Obermann will oversee all sales facets of the PBI-Gordon Professional and Agricultural product group, including a team of 15 sales representatives and three sales managers.

“I am humbled and honored,” Obermann said. “We have a great team and a lineup of fantastic products, including the number one speed herbicide, SpeedZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf, and our newest editions: Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide and Kabuto Fungicide SC. And there are more great innovations already in the PBI-Gordon pipeline. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve our customers, and to our continued mutual success.”
