He will develop and implement strategic business plans to ensure alignment with customer and company objectives. Additionally, Steward will serve as a mentor and coach for sales team members.

Before joining PBI-Gordon, Steward was a senior sales manager at ALMACO. He also has worked as national sales manager and strategic account manager at BASF.

“Matt has a proven track record of employing innovative and strategic commercial approaches, building trusting relationships, and ultimately driving business growth,” said Tim Demerath, vice president of sales for PBI-Gordon. “He will be a valuable member of the PBI-Gordon team and our customers will benefit greatly from his expertise.”

As a sales representative, Bastron will be responsible for PBI-Gordon product sales to golf course and turfgrass management customers in Illinois and Indiana. He will also identify new business opportunities within his sales territory to achieve strategic goals and objectives.

Before joining PBI-Gordon, Bastron worked as an assistant golf course superintendent at Kenosha Country Club in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In addition to his many years of professional experience, Bastron has been involved in various golf course industry organizations over the years, including the GCSAA and Midwest Association of Golf Course Superintendents.

Bastron earned a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“We are excited that Patrick has joined the PBI-Gordon team of employee-owners,” said Brett Rieck, regional sales manager for PBI-Gordon. “His focus, experience, drive and familiarity with the growing conditions in the Midwest will be a great asset to our valued customers in Illinois and Indiana.”
