Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club in Pawley's Island, S.C., has hired David Eure to serve as golf course superintendent under ValleyCrest, which manages Pawleys Plantation’s golf course and landscape maintenance services. Eure’s responsibilities include the oversight of Pawleys Plantation’s golf course, course equipment, irrigation systems and cultural programs. Eure previously served as golf course superintendent at TPC Myrtle Beach.
“We’re pleased to have someone with David’s experience on staff to take on this responsibility,” said Laura Rippy, general manager for Pawleys Plantation. “While at TPC Myrtle Beach, he was instrumental in TPC receiving a host of awards including ‘Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year’ and ‘South Carolina Golf Course Of The Year.’ We are looking forward to great things under his supervision.”
Eure, who has a degree in turf management from Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, N.C., lives in Pawleys Island with his wife, Heather, and three sons, Seth, Liam and Hayden.
