Profile Products is participating in the “Environment and the Game” and “Constructing the Game” Solution Centers at the 2006 Golf Industry Show.

Buffalo Grove, Ill. – Profile Products, a soil solutions company, is participating in the “Environment and the Game” and “Constructing the Game” Solution Centers at the 2006 Golf Industry Show in Atlanta. These educational sessions educate golf course architects and builders on how to achieve optimum turf establishment while promoting sound environmental practices.

Examining the environmental issues and solutions for sensitive areas on golf courses, “Environment and the Game” will demonstrate best practices in stream bank restoration and wetlands management through an interactive display. Profile representatives will lead two sessions:
· Pre- and post-construction and renovation regulations and best management practices Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.; and
· Latest technologies in erosion control Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.

Profile Products will also take part in the “Constructing the Game” Solution Center by providing several of its products to demonstrate various erosion and sediment control technologies. Products that Profile will provide include its Flexterra Flexible Growth Medium, Futerra F4 Netless Revegetation Blanket, Terra-Tubes Fiber Filtration Tubes, Hydro-Blanket Bonded Fiber Matrix and Conwed Fibers 1000 and 2000 Hydraulic Mulch.

Attendees will learn how to properly install soil control devices when constructing or renovating courses to stay in compliance with strict NPDES Phase II regulations. NPDES Phase II regulations affect all construction sites that disturb an acre or more of land and dictate the amount of sediment that can be discharged into surrounding waterways.

“Playability and environmental stewardship are two primary concerns for today’s golf course builders,” says Sam Stimmel, director of Profile Golf. “The educational sessions provided at this year’s Golf Industry Show will provide builders with the knowledge they’ll need for environmental compliance that’s complimentary with long-term turf health.”
