Troon selected to manage South Florida course

Parkland Golf & Country Club features a Greg Norman Signature-designed course.

Troon announced it has been selected to manage Parkland Golf & Country Club in Parkland, Florida. The Parkland Golf & Country Club Foundation recently acquired the sports club and golf club from Toll Golf. Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will oversee golf and sports club operations, food & beverage operations as well golf course agronomy and club/membership marketing.

Located between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Parkland Golf & Country Club is a premier private community with a full suite of club amenities for residents. Parkland’s Greg Norman Signature-designed golf course winds its way through the 792-acre community. The course opened for member play in 2004, measures 7,118 yards from the championship tees and plays to a par of 72.

“Parkland Golf & Country Club is a spectacular community with an active, family-oriented membership,” said Ricardo Catarino, vice president, operations, Troon. “We are thrilled to be working with the Board and HOA as we look to further elevate the member and guest experiences at both the golf club and sports club.”

“The Parkland Golf and Country Club homeowners and homeowners association are thrilled to be working with Troon Privé,” Parkland Golf & Country Club board President David Gott said. “The Board of Directors feel that Troon is a best-in-class company and will bring solid management, innovative programs and attention to detail to our club. Parkland Golf will strive to be a member-centric club with complete focus on a wonderful experience – Troon will be integral in achieving that vision.”
