AGA Management, LLC is pleased to announce the hiring of Tom Wolff as golf course superintendent at Papago Park Golf Course, which is undergoing a six million dollar restoration and will re-open in November of this year.
Mr. Wolff comes to Papago Park from Del Rio Country Club in Modesto, California and is one of the most respected golf course superintendents in the country. He is most famous for his work in the 90s, when he prepared and was Sahalee Country Club's golf course superintendent during the Club's hosting of the 1998 PGA Championship, which drew rave reviews for the golf course conditions during that entire Major event.
"I am thrilled to be going to Papago Park," said Wolff. "With the great history of the course and what it will look like when the restoration is complete, it is going to be a great place to be a golf course superintendent and create the great conditioning all of its customers will appreciate and expect."
"We feel very fortunate to get a person of Mr. Wolff's ability and great reputation," said Marvin French, representing AGA Management, LLC. "Hiring Tom Wolff represents our goal of making Papago Park one of the great public golf facilities in the country and we know everyone will appreciate what he brings to the position."
Mr. Wolff will assume his duties on June 1st. For more information please contact, Gregory Crawford, 503-407-8255.
