Organic-Gro adds agronomist

Matt Shipp joins Organic-Gro as a corporate agronomist.

Framingham, Mass. – Matt Shipp has joined the management team at Regenerated Resources as a corporate agronomist. Based in Bentonville, Ark., he will be responsible for field research and technical support for the Organic-Gro line of fertilizers. In addition, Shipp will pursue a Ph.D. in plant nutrition and soil fertility at the University of Arkansas, to better support the science behind Organic-Gro.

Holding a bachelor’s in agronomy and an master’s in crop science, he previously spent six years as a research scientist for Monsanto and The Scotts Company, where he engaged in agrochemical and fertilizer development for both the professional and consumer markets.  More recently, he was a research associate and lecturer in the department of horticulture of Louisiana State University, where his responsibilities included applied turfgrass research and teaching turfgrass classes to undergraduate and graduate students. With more than 10 years of plant and soil science experience, Shipp has acted as an independent researcher and consultant to agrochemical and fertilizer companies across the United States.
