The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) is proud to again be a co-sponsor of the 3rd Annual Ferris “Run with the Winners” 5K run/walk on Oct. 27 during The Green Industry and Equipment EXPO (GIE+EXPO) in Louisville, Ky. The entry fee is $10. All proceeds from the event will benefit WHAS Crusade for Children.
“The run has grown each of the past two years and we are very excited about this year’s race, said Bill Bower, director of commercial marketing for Ferris. Ferris Industries has been the title sponsor of Run with the Winners for the past three years.
In 2006, about 90 runners and walkers participated. Adding to the excitement for OPEI Members is the Corporate Challenge Cup, which is awarded the OPEI member company that has the most registrants participating in the event. Last year, Simplicity took home the Corporate Challenge Cup.
“OPEI is excited to be part of an event that is fun and also supports a great cause,” stated Bill Harley, president and c.e.o. of OPEI. “I challenge our members to get out and run or walk in the event.” OPEI joins GIE+EXPO, PRO Magazine, Yard & Garden Magazine, Masterpiece Creation and Seaboard Graphics as co-sponsors of this event.
