Forty-two 42 Ontario courses have been designated as certified sanctuaries with the Audubon Co-operative Sanctuary Program; of that number, five are in Muskoka, reports The Muskokan.
In Ontario more than 200 golf courses are members of Audubon International, meaning fewer than 25 percent have completed the six-stage certification process. The program includes more than 2,300 courses worldwide.
