Olde York adds to executive staff

The club Chesterfield, N.J., retained culinary expert Jeffrey De Lawder as executive chef and Morgan Castagna as sales manager.

Olde York Country Club, the award-winning private country club in Chesterfield, N.J., announces that it has retained culinary expert Jeffrey De Lawder as executive chef and Morgan Castagna as sales manager.   

De Lawder takes the reins of Olde York’s food and pastry production for the club’s dining and banquet rooms. As executive chef, De Lawder is responsible for developing exquisite and creative menus for the enjoyment of Olde York’s members and guests, developing unique recipes, directing hospitality staff members and maintaining the highest professional food quality.

A graduate of the renowned Culinary Institute of America, De Lawder brings 15 years of experience to Olde York. Most recently, he served as chef d’ cuisine for Jeffrey Miller Catering in Lansdowne, Pa. De Lawder’s varied background includes stints as executive chef of The Coral Reef Bistro (formerly The Red Hen Café) in Medford Lakes, N.J.; sous chef of The Racquet Club of Philadelphia; and executive chef of Ashbourne Country Club in Cheltenham, Pa.

In other news, Morgan Castagna has been named sales manager at Olde York.

Castagna, a certified event planner, is responsible for generating group sales for banquets and outings as well as coordinating marketing opportunities for the club. 

Most recently, Castagna served as the manager of sales and outreach for Community Options in Princeton, N.J. In this position, Castagna developed creative marketing and advertising promotions for three entrepreneurial businesses. In addition, Castagna managed all sales and revenue generation, established budgets and coordinated annual fundraisers for the company.
