OB Sports Golf Management further expands their presence in southern Nevada with the recently announced management agreement with Pulte Homes to operate Conestoga Golf Club in Mesquite, Nev. Conestoga Golf Club, which will be a focal point in Pulte’s master planned, active adult community of Sun City Mesquite, is being designed by nationally recognized golf course architect, Gary Panks. The course will feature a picturesque layout with yardages stretching from approximately 5,400 to 7,200 yards.
Currently under development, the golf facility at Conestoga Golf Club is slated to open in 2008. Upon completion, Conestoga will feature a complete practice facility and golf clubhouse that will be home to a well-appointed golf shop and grille.

Currently, OB Sports is managing construction of the golf course while also consulting on other pre-opening activities, such as clubhouse preparation, branding and theme development. Upon completion, OB Sports will oversee the entire golf facility, including golf course operations, food and beverage services, sales, marketing and turf care.
Conestoga Golf Club adds to OB Sport’s already strong presence in Southern Nevada. The company oversees management at Aliante Golf Club, Angel Park Golf Club in Las Vegas and The Legacy Golf Club in Henderson. OB Sports has experience managing facilities located within other Del Webb communities, as well. In addition to the previously mentioned Aliante Golf Club, the company also manages Lincoln Hills Golf Club, which is located at Sun City Lincoln Hills, a Del Webb community in Lincoln, Calif.

Conestoga Golf Club will be the centerpiece of the 2014-acre Anthem Mesquite, which is currently under development and is slated to begin sales in mid-2007. Located in the northwest region of Mesquite, this master planned community will feature a Del Webb active adult lifestyle community, Sun City Mesquite, and single–family, traditional Pulte homes. Upon completion in 2013, Anthem Mesquite will have approximately 4,600 homes and approximately 10,000 residents.
In addition to the golf club, other features at Anthem Mesquite include vast areas of open space, a 33-acre regional park and four miles of walking trails. The community will be aesthetically themed “heritage ranch”, incorporating organic materials, earth tones and symbols of Mesquite’s pioneer heritage to compliment the existing environment.
The name “Conestoga” refers to the famous Conestoga wagon, which was the prototype wagon for the pioneers who settled the Mesquite region. The theme at Conestoga Golf Club will be a celebration of the many artifacts and distinctive elements of these early settlers.
