36-hole private facility includes courses designed by Tom Kite and Bob Cupp.

OB Sports announced that it has assumed club management duties for Vanderbilt Legends Club, located south of Nashville in Franklin, Tenn.  Effective Jan. 1, 2016, OB sports began overseeing all golf and club operations for the private facility, which features 36 holes of golf designed by Tom Kite and Bob Cupp, and is also home to the Vanderbilt University men’s and women’s golf teams.

“We’re looking forward to working with such a wonderful golf club that is already blessed with a thriving and active membership,” said C.A. Roberts, president of OB Sports.  “We are also honored to work with Vanderbilt University, and to support and build upon the goals and traditions of their Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams, both of which are clearly on the rise.”

“The decision to award the management contract to OB Sports was based upon the company’s relevant experience with similar properties; its personalized approach to management of VLC; its knowledge and experience in the golf industry; and the enthusiasm of its management team,” said Ally Sullivan, director, real estate, Vanderbilt University. “We are confident that OB Sports and our talented on-site staff at VLC will achieve great things for our loyal members and for Vanderbilt University.”

In addition to the 36 holes, Vanderbilt Legends Club offers state-of-the-art practice facilities and a golf academy next door to the Vanderbilt University team buildings and short-game area. Adjacent to the facility on the back end of the driving range is the Golf House Tennessee, which includes the Tennessee Golf Association, Foundation, PGA, Hall of Fame and Junior Golf Association – all in one building surrounded by a charming 9-hole “Little Course.”
