E-Z-GO, a Textron Inc. announced that its revolutionary RXV fleet golf car is now featured at Oak Quarry Golf Club (Riverside, Calif.).
Oak Quarry, one of Southern California’s highest-rated public courses, now carries a fleet of 85 E-Z-GO RXV electric golf cars. Winding through historic Jensen Quarry, Oak Quarry Golf Club has been ranked as the No. 1 course in golf-rich inland Southern California for its stirring scenery, shot values and dramatic elevation changes. Golf Digest rates the spectacular course 4.5 star to only one other 5 star course in California. The course was conceived by PGA and Champions Tour stalwart Gil Morgan with the renowned team of Schmidt-Curley Design.
Introduced in November 2007, the E-Z-GO RXV boasts numerous innovative features including an alternating-current (AC) drive train, revolutionary dual-braking system and energy-transfer bumpers. The vehicle is expected to deliver exceptional value to golf course operators through reduced energy and maintenance costs, and an unsurpassed experience for golfers through best-in-class power, control, comfort and safety.
“We carefully weighed our options when choosing a new fleet golf car, and the E-Z-GO RXV was clearly the best on the market,” says Hank Schiller, general manager and head golf professional at Oak Quarry. “We were extremely impressed by the RXV’s performance and its numerous cost-saving benefits. At Oak Quarry, we pride ourselves on providing a unique and enjoyable golf experience. The RXV will help us deliver on that promise.”
“We’re thrilled to be chosen as the preferred golf car fleet provider to Oak Quarry,” says Mike Parkhurst, vice president of global sales at E-Z-GO. “The RXV is the ideal golf car to handle Oak Quarry’s rugged topography and the course’s guests will greatly enjoy driving the vehicle. The course will see significant benefits from improved golf car efficiency, lower maintenance costs and superior dependability.”
