The Western Regional Conference, held on March 6, 2008 at the Buffalo/Niagara Marriott in Amherst, N.Y., was a successful event with a dynamic education program and active trade show. According to Conference Chair, Rick Holfoth, “The Western Regional Conference included 36 exhibitors and a record 150 paid attendees. The overwhelming majority of those who completed evaluations said that the speakers provided the appropriate amount of detailed information and that their overall programs were excellent. I’m glad to see more people attending and taking advantage of all that this regional conference has to offer.”
NYSTA Board Member, Roger Lind, said, “On the whole, those who attended indicated the program was useful to their work and the trade show was important to them. Speaking as an exhibitor from Grassland Equipment and Irrigation Corporation, this conference is very beneficial to us. Along with providing an opportunity to visit with existing customers, we always seem to meet a new account. Also, the food and accommodations are always very good.
