Under new ownership, North Creek Golf Club in Southaven, Mississippi has started a significant facility enhancement plan.
Purchased in June 2020 by Boxer Resorts, a Texas-based commercial real estate investment and management company, the 18-hole North Creek will feature a bunker renovation that will include irrigation system improvements involving the controls and pump station enhancements, and new sand, lining and drainage in all 40 bunkers.
The project will also include a new fleet of golf carts this summer and clubhouse enhancements highlighted by an improved HVAC system.
“We purchased North Creek and immediately put a plan in place to improve the golf and social experiences at the club and for the community,” Boxer Resorts senior project manager Michael Owen said. “Golf is seeing an increase in rounds played and we are excited to refine the North Creek experience and relaunch the club.”
North Creek is located less than 15 miles from downtown Memphis. Designed by Tracy May and opened in 1998, its dunes-inspired layout pays homage to links golf courses.
